Power of Peers

We believe in the transformative power of peer-led support. Every project, pilot, and partnership we undertake is based on the knowledge that persons with lived and living experience (PWLLE) hold the keys to creating more equitable, responsive, and impactful systems.

We work alongside a diverse and expanding network of community programs, social enterprises, housing and health services to co-design initiatives that are grounded in peer insight and community priorities. Together, we support a broad spectrum of efforts, from harm reduction and treatment access to inclusive employment and mental health care.

Our Pilots and Projects Include:

  • Embedding peer support specialists in front-line settings to stabilize employment and housing.

  • Designing trauma-informed training and onboarding processes for employers hiring people with barriers to work

  • Providing 1:1 mentorship, crisis support, and wrap-around planning for peer employees

  • Offering employment coaching, digital literacy training, and financial planning assistance

Peer Input Has Shaped Our Approach To:

  • Workplace accommodation and flexibility

  • Conflict resolution and trauma-informed care

  • Evaluation frameworks that center on personal and collective growth

  • Strengths-based pathways into care and employment

Peer Wisdom Driving Systemic Change:

Whether we’re launching a new inclusive hiring pilot, providing embedded wellness supports, or collaborating on a research initiative, our model keeps peer voice at the center. We work alongside peer staff, leaders and advocates to ensure that programs reflect real-world needs, not top-down assumptions.

Through this collaborative approach, we’ve built models that challenge stigma, address systemic gaps, and promote dignity in places that too often overlook it. Our pilots have led to reduced turnover, increased engagement, and a stronger sense of belonging among participants.

Looking Forward

We are actively growing our network of collaborators and invite organizations that share our approach to connect. Whether your organization is exploring inclusive employment, treatment-to-work transitions, or workplace wellness from a peer-led perspective, we would like to collaborate with you.

When we invest in peer leadership, we invest in systems change and a stronger community. Peers are not just program participants, but designers, facilitators, and leaders.
